Learn the Skills & Psychology Behind Successful Trading
Introduction:
Becoming a consistently profitable trader has far less to do with finding the “perfect strategy” and far more to do with your education, mindset, and decision-making under pressure. This hub collects all of your foundational learning material, from trading courses, psychological development, discipline, common mistakes, and the mental frameworks that separate beginners from long-term performers.

Whether you’re just starting your trading journey or refining your skillset, these guides will help you understand the why behind trading decisions, build confidence in your setups, and avoid the mental traps that cause most traders to fail. Each post includes embedded videos for visual learners and written explanations for clarity. Treat this hub as your go-to resource for building the mindset, structure, and habits needed to trade with consistency and calm.
Trading Mindset:
Mindset starts with expectation, having the right expection when you approach anything is important, but none more so than in trading stocks. If you enter the market expecting to make millions in a month off $1000 then your mindset is off from the start. This video provides some insight into the subject:

Often unspoken about in trading is Survivorship bias - When I took part in the US Investing Championship it became evident to me that the many accounts with heavy losses, often blowing up, were left unreported, leaving a positive bias to all those that participated, in reality followers were fooled by the overall results reported (or should i say not reported). This promotes false expectation and is best explained in this video:
The right expectation also comes from the trading statistics themselves and Dr Tharp explains this well in his book Trade Your Way To Financial Freedom.
He explains how probabilities play an important part in not only positive expectancy but also trader psychology:

Trading Discipline:
Closely aligned to having the right mindset, is Trading Discipline. Discipline can only be adopted if you have the right mindset throught the trading journey.
Mark Douglas author of Trading In The Zone discusses this in depth and we produced his and other authorities thoughts on the subject in this video:
